Welcome to Photo Fast Online! If this is your first visit here, please, take a moment to read through the following information. It is sure to make your experience with Photo Fast Online the most enjoyable possible.
"My computer freezes when I want to place an order! When you click on "Print, View or Share" or any of the other PhotoCentral buttons for the first time the server tries to communicate with your computer via a plug-in titled "Photogize Image Uploader". If you have not downloaded the Photogize Image Uploader plug-in, your internet browser will appear to freeze while the server repeatedly attempts to communicate with your computer. It is not recommended that use of this service is done with a dial-up connection or an ISDN, but it is possible. After a few moments or several minutes, depending on the speed of your internet connection, you should receive a security warning asking if you want to download this file. Click on Yes. Once you have downloaded the Photogize Image Uploader plug-in you will be able to immediately upload pictures whenever you click on any of the PhotoCentral buttons from that point on.
"Why do I upload my pictures first? I don't even know what I want!" When you upload your pictures to the server, the server creates thumbnails of your images so that you can view them while you are deciding what to order. PhotoCentral also offers a variety of additional services such as crop, rotate image adjustments, sepia, B&W and more.
"Why does the website keep rejecting my images!" There are several reasons this may be occurring. Check the type of files you are trying to upload. We can only guarantee valid .jpeg and non compressed .tiff formats. All other formats may be rejected by the server. Make sure the files you are trying to upload are actual jpegs or TIFF files. Make sure the file name ends with either .jpeg, .jpg or .tiff. All other file extensions, missing extensions, or incorrectly labeled files may be rejected by the server. Simply renaming a file .jpeg, .jpg, or .tiff does not change the file. The file must be opened in an image editing program and "saved as" one of those three formats. Renaming the file may allow you to upload the file, but will render it unprintable. Corrupt or infected files. Files that are corrupted, damaged, or truncated may also experience difficulty getting through the web service. First use a virus scan program to scan the file for viruses. If the file is clean, try opening the suspected file in an image editing program such as MicroSoft's Windows Picture and Fax Viewer or Adobe's PhotoShop. If you receive an error message trying to open the file or if the image appears incomplete the file may be damaged. Slower internet connections seem to be prone to "timing out". Timing out occurs when a server detects that a computer with an internet connection maybe idle for an extended period of time OR generates excessive upload or download activity for an extended period of time. In essence the Internet Service Provider's (ISP) server detects unusual activity and terminates that activity. This is more likely to happen with dial up connections and slow DSL connections, however it can occur on higher speed connections as well. Check with your ISP to inquire about "time-out settings" as well as connection activity restrictions in regards to the amount of activity and duration. Depending on your ISP you may be able to adjust the time-out setting for your connection.
"I want a color AND a B&W copy of my image!" In order to get prints of the same image in both color and B&W, or Sepia, you will have to upload the same image each time for each type. Once for color, once for B&W, and once for Sepia. Once you have uploaded the image the first time, you need to click on the Add More Photos button in the upper right hand corner of the product order page to upload the same image again.
